Proverb Literalists use old sayings to apply literal meaning to their lives. This could be reflected in Dnd(5e) Advantage on a roll, a bonus to a roll or check, a resistance, an immunity, etc. A sample of old sayings is below.

Each Odd Level: Pick an old saying in the table below. The DM will apply it in a meaningful way if able.
Level 1: +10 bonus to history and knowledge(religion) skill checks.
Level 2: Resist Ageing
Level 3: Resist mind-effecting
Level 9: You can substitute an old saying from the table with one of your own.
